Rod Millman “This is the nicest horse we’ve had together, let's hope she’s lucky for us”
This is some statement from Rod, given the heights we’ve shared with the likes of Cuban Mistress, winner of the Listed St Hugh’s Stakes & National Stakes 3rd, who subsequently sold for 170,000gns at the broodmare sales, not to forget the current National Stakes and Weatherby’s Super Sprint winner ANTHELIA, who currently holds a Group 1 Cheveley Park entry. To pigeonhole this filly above the likes of these two amazing horses gives us real encouragement for this filly’s future career.
She looks strong, fast, racy and early, given she’s a January foal - all the ingredients you’d like to see and almost come to expect from a Rod Millman inmate. The grand dam, Needles and Pins, herself won the said St Hugh’s Stakes and the dam of our filly has already produced a 99 RPR-rated 2yo winner from just two foals to date. Given her already strong and mature physique, everything looks set fair for a thoroughly exciting 2yo campaign in 2026.
Of course, given her sales’ price tag of £56,000, she qualifies for Rod’s favourite race of the season, The Weatherby’s Super Sprint at Newbury in July, a race Rod has won 3 times, no less, including the 2025 renewal with our very own ANTHELIA, who hailed from this very sale, this time last year.
Furthermore, she qualifies for Harry’s Half Million, a race MPR have plundered twice in the last four years with the now stallion Shouldvebeenaring, alongside this year’s renewal, with the £338,000 earning, in so doing, Song Of The Clyde.

Hopefully, we’ll head to the likes of all sorts of races already mentioned, and who’s to say that a trip to Royal Ascot won’t be on the agenda too for this fantastic filly?
She is qualified for the 10.000€ IRE - Bonus Scheme. Read all about it here: https://www.itm.ie/buying/sales-incentives/ire-incentive/
