A Profitable Sunday Double

Mon 27 Apr 2026

Winner 52 of 2026: TICKETTOTHESTARS, trained by Rod Millman and ridden by Lewis Edmunds. The ‘Pertemps Network Group Handicap’ over 6f at Nottingham.

A much-liked filly when she first joined the yard of Rod Millman’s after doing a very good time at the Breeze Up Sale. Still green on her first two starts, she took a bad bump on her handicap debut, which nearly saw her come down at Yarmouth. James Millman, onside for Racing TV, elaborated on how badly she had lost confidence ever since and how long it had taken her to return to form. A fine victory from our now 3-year-old daughter of Profitable, who travelled strongly and led for most of the race, before she got rallied, but showed a wonderful attitude and battled back gamely to win by 1 length.

Well done to her owners, who have been very patient and supportive.

Timeform rated her victory with 63: "Lost her way during the autumn and winter, but has gradually rediscovered her form this spring and, with the yard going well, found enough improvement on just her third 6f turf start to justify solid market support and get off the mark; raced near side, close up, led halfway, headed over 1f out, rallied to lead again final 100 yds; now up and running, she is likely to be of interest again, with connections having the option of exploiting an extended penalty timeframe."

Winner 53 of 2026: ZIGGY’S TRITON, trained by David O’Meara and ridden by Jason Hart. The ‘Sky Bet Extra Places Handicap’ over 5f at Musselburgh.

Ziggy’s Triton has run some good races in defeat since his latest victory, but bounced fully back to form to win a 5th race of his career, from a difficult draw.

Despite the disadvantage draw, our son of Profitable pinged the stalls and managed to come right across towards the stand side rail under Jason Hart, travelling powerfully for most of the race. Ziggy’s Triton possesses an incredibly game attitude and saw off his opponents' attacks under a strong Jason Hart drive.

He pulled clear inside the final hundred yards to win the valuable pot, which is part of the ITV Sunday Series. An overall incredible 5th career success from our very versatile and extremely gutsy Ziggy's Triton.

Timeform rated his 5th victory with a 100: "Had edged back down to just 2 lb above last winning mark and bounced back to form to record a second C&D success, showing a good attitude to fend off an in-form rival; pressed leader, led 1f out, asserted late on; he was as good as ever here and should remain competitive."
