Tremendous Triton

Thu 08 Oct 2026

Winner 104 of 2026: ZIGGY’S TRITON, trained by David O’Meara and ridden by Danny Tudhope. The ‘Everards of Leicestershire Handicap’ over 5f at Leicester.

What a fabulous syndicate horse he is. 7 wins in total, with three victories this season alone.

Danny knows him well at this stage and kept it very straightforward. The pair broke swiftly from the stalls and sat prominently, before pressing the leaders.

Our son of Profitable disputed the lead inside the final furlong and showed tremendous attitude to hold on for a length-and-a-quarter win.

He is a credit to the O’Meara team, who have kept him in fantastic shape all year.

Well done to his owners.

Timeform rated his victory with a 100: "Back under a fully-fledged rider, quickly made amends for his unlucky run at Redcar 3 days previously, always in a good position and well on top by the finish, though he'll be forced back into a higher grade after this and may find life more difficult next time; prominent, led final 1f, asserted late on."
