Winner 44 of 2026: SHES GOT A BROTHER, trained by Mick and David Easterby and ridden by Billy Garritty. The ‘GB Civil Engineering Maiden Stakes’ over 5f at Southwell.
She has always shown a huge engine and potential, given her strong breeze at last year’s Tattersalls Guineas Sale. She also hails from a beautiful Juddmonte family and is by none other than the multiple Group 1 producing sire, Havana Grey.
Drawn closest to the stand side rail, Billy made good use of his draw and kept her slightly isolated, towards the rail. She quickly seized control of the race and was in demand throughout, before she kept on powerfully in the final furlong to win by 2 lengths, eased down.
A fine debut performance from our filly, who is our third consecutive winner from our 2026 April Fool promotion.

Winner 45 of 2026: GOLD STAR HERO, trained by Michael Bell and ridden by Hector Crouch. The ‘Free Bets On attheraces.com Handicap’ over 6f at Wolverhampton.
After a great start, Gold Star Hero was always in control of the race under Hector Crouch. He made easy work of his rivals, and neither the switch to Tapeta nor the 4lb raise seemed to be an issue.
Yet another 2026 April Fool graduate makes the headlines. Huge well done to his owners, what an exciting sprinter.

Timeform rated his back-to-back victory with a t97: "Followed up from last time and while he is perhaps just going back in the right direction generally, 3 wins and a second from just 4 all-weather starts raise the question that he might be more effective on a synthetic surface; made running, pushed along early in straight, driven out."
