Hattrick landed! Our progressive sprinter Gold Star Hero dictates again from the front and never meets another rival to up his winning sequence to three, and five wins overall.

This time, it was Jason Hart whom we entrusted with steering our tall, eye-catching chestnut, and he executed it with bravura. Another mighty performance from our now 4-year-old gelding, who, as it seems, really strengthened this winter and loves the AW surface.

Ziggy’s Missile tried to chase Gold Star Hero home, but got tired inside the final furlong, and ran a fine race in fourth, having had his first start of the season.

Timeform rated his hattrick victory with a t107: "Back down in trip, completed the hat-trick with the minimum of fuss; made running, kicked on entering straight, edged right, kept up to work; remains to be seen if he can transfer this improvement back to turf, but either way things will get tougher now."
