Winner 2 of 2026: SAFFRON DANDY, trained by Richard Hannon and ridden by Sean Levey. The ‘Bet £10 Get £40 With BetMGM Handicap’ over 6f at Wolverhampton.
A winner on her debut, our smart daughter of the late Dandy Man, SAFFRON DANDY, was always well liked at Richard Hannon's and showed her qualities once again, despite some time off.
Ridden positively under Sean Levey, tracking the leading pairs from the 6-furlong start, before making good headway when turning for home. They were seen to make their challenge towards the near side rail, before disputing the lead inside the final furlong and winning by half a length. A gutsy effort from our 3-year-old filly in such a competitive handicap, after a long break, and in good style. Exciting Times.

Timeform rated her victory with a t82, saying:
"Showed improved form to resume winning ways making handicap/all-weather debut after 5 months off, the outsider of the field here but she had already won back on her debut and this was her first start in realistic company since so it's not without explanation and she may have more to come; close up, pushed along out wide home turn, led final 1f, kept on."
Listen to Sean Levey chatting about Saffron Dandy to Vanessa Ryle from Sky Sports Racing:
Syndicate Manager Tim Palin, after the race: "Congratulations, I thought it was a fantastic ride from Sean. He always had her in the right place, at every stage of the race, and she duly prevailed. And well done to our owners, who have been very patient with her over the past few months. We had to give her some time off due to growing pains and immaturity. But her talent was always there; she had good form behind the likes of Lady Imaan and our own Song of the Clyde. It was great to see her back and win in such good style."
