Winner 82 of 2026: ZIGGY’S TRITON, trained by David O’Meara and ridden by Daniel Tudhope. The ‘William Hill Keep Your Raceday Positive Handicap’ over 5f at York.

The drop in class and a strong pace really saw him to best effect again over the 5f at York. The set pace was extremely strong, which allowed our son of Profitable to find his rhythm and settle just behind the leaders. He travelled strongly throughout and quickened nicely in the hands of Danny Tudhope when he was asked to make his challenge. Deep inside the final furlong, Ziggy's Triton disputed the lead and battled gamely to the line. A fine victory from our now 4-year-old, and wonderful to see him bounce back to the winner's enclosure.

A huge crowd of owners welcomed him back to the winner's circle. He has become a very popular, reliable and talented sprinter for his connections and trainer, who has him in fantastic shape - this was his sixth victory since July 2025.

Timeform rated his 6th victory with a rating of 97: "Was back down further in grade and took full advantage to notch his second success of the season, getting a nice tow into things behind something of a contested early pace; in touch, headway over 1f out, disputed lead final 1f, edged ahead final 100 yds; isn't all that consistent and could be vulnerable after a small rise."
