Winner 110 of 2026: UM WADI, trained by George Boughey and ridden by Billy Loughnane. The ‘AWC Finals Day At Newcastle 26th March Fillies' Handicap’ over 1m½f at Wolverhampton.

 After the success of Unassuming, we were very keen to find another filly or mare with a similar profile, which we were hopeful and confident, to have found in UM WADI.

We gave her the summer off and brought her back into full training a few weeks ago with the eyes firmly set on AW Finals Day.

It was going to be a very tactical race with only 6 runners, but with Billy knowing Wolverhampton like the back of his hands, we were hopeful and confident he would get her in the right position from stall 4.

The pace was even and Billy made his decisive move as the field turned for home, and so he got first run on the eventual second and third. The mare showed a tremendous attitude to dig deep and held on to win under the Champion Jockey.

Timeform rated her victory with a t83: "Had drawn a blank in thirteen attempts since a winning debut in France in December 2023 but struck at the first time of asking for new stable (sold from Joseph O'Brien for 10,000 gns) after 4 months off, coping well with the test of speed, her all-weather form now reading 13931; mid-field, progress early in straight, challenged approaching final 1f, led inside final 1f, driven out."
