Winner 75 of 2025: ZIGGY’S TRITON, trained by David O’Meara and ridden by David Nolan. The ‘Create Your Bet Builders At Midnite Handicap’ over 5f at Southwell.

The incredibly consistent Ziggy’s Triton, who has been in the placings/money on nearly all his starts since his previous victory, has now recorded his well-deserved first win on the All-Weather Surface, receiving a TF Rating of 95.

After an excellent start from the gates, he was seen travelling powerfully through the race behind the leading pair and pulled away inside the final furlong to win by over three lengths.

A great ride from David Nolan, who made good use of the high draw against the stand side rail. A big well done to his trainer, David, and all the team at home, who have their horses in brilliant form, currently operating on a fantastic 33% winners-to-runners strike rate.

He received a Timeform Rating of 95 for his success: "Seemed to find a big chunk of improvement to record his third success of the year, always travelling well and putting the race to bed quickly once taking the lead; prominent, travelled well, led over 1f out, kept on well; it's hard to pinpoint exactly where this improvement came from and it will be interesting to see if he can back it up in something stronger once the handicapper has a swipe."
