Following the exploits of one of our star 2yos, ANTHELIA (by Supremacy), it’s fair to say that all his progeny at the sales come in for the closest scrutiny from our bloodstock team.
We felt that this beautiful colt was far and away the nicest Supremacy that we’ve seen thus far, this sales season. Given the strength of the dam’s side, with her already having produced the Group 2 performer ROOM SERVICE, we felt that this colt was very much one to target as he came into the ring. A price tag of £105,000 is fairly lofty but he ticked ALL THE BOXES - *he looks a real 2yo sort, ideal for the Harry’s Half Million Race that MPR have won in 2 of the last 4 years with Shouldvebeenaring & Song Of The Clyde - there’s really no reason what this colt shouldn’t be a tip top contender for that race in 2026. He looks the sort who could really come to hand, and we could see him flying around the likes of Chester, Ascot and York with Hugo Palmer & Michael Owen at the helm.
Reason behind the Name WEEKEND ROAR: "The name comes from our Grandson ……Janice myself and Harrison have a collective ‘Roar’ on Fridays because it’s the weekend ! Little things in life and all that ……let’s hoping it rings true"
