Winner 19 of 2026: NOLTON CROSS, trained by Hugo Palmer. The ‘Midnite Are Upping The Betting Game Handicap (GBBPlus Race)’ over 1m4f at Wolverhampton.
Last seen on a racetrack 692 days ago, NOLTON CROSS put up a huge performance to record a sixth win from only 21 starts on the AW.
An incredible training performance from Hugo Palmer, nursing him back to full health and fitness. Joe Leavy got him to a great start and slotted him just behind the leader, where he travelled strongly throughout the contest. For a moment, we feared our 7-year-old gelding, who travelled with such enthusiasm under Joe, disputed the lead too early and could get tired after such a long layoff, but he wasn’t for catching, and his wonderful attitude saw him over the line. A huge well done to his owners, who have been such admirable supporters of our son of Dark Angel, and have stood by him through his recuperation.

Timeform rated his comeback victory with a t98+: "Had been off for 23 months but proved all his ability remains intact as he made a winning return, his effort all the more noteworthy considering how free he was early on; pressed leader, took strong hold, went on around halfway, ridden over 1f out, edged left final 1f, just held on; did have quite a hard race, though, and probably wouldn't want turning out again quickly."

Winner 20 of 2026: FAHRENHEIT SEVEN, trained by Robert Cowell and ridden by Tom Marquand. The ‘SBK: No Casino Just Sports Handicap’ over 5f at Newcastle.
A Tattersalls July HIT purchase in 2025, we believed that a lightly raced horse with his form to date was a match-made in heaven for our sprint king, Robert Cowell, and we were extremely excited to add such a talented horse to our roster. Sadly, the ground on Ayr Gold Cup Day didn't play to his strength, and we allowed him another break to freshen up for a possible tilt on an AW-Finals Day, with the perfect debut outing in our silks on the Tapeta surface for his owners.
It was a hugely competitive race on paper beforehand, with some proven and well-rated horses in the 14-runner race, all eyeing up the big prize money on offer during the first edition of “The Friday Night Live Series”, which was also aired on ITV 4.
He travelled powerfully through the early stages of the race before Tom got a clear run in the middle of the track, with our son of Showcasing quickly disputing the lead and only the eventual second trying to chase him home. But Fahrenheit Seven, still travelling powerfully under a very confident Tom Marquand, found another gear and powered clear to win by ¾ of a length, seeing the race out strongly. Only 0.03 seconds off the track record.

He sees out the 5 furlongs extremely well, but he is extremely fast and has a high cruising speed. An exciting horse. Very well done everyone"
