Winner 91 of 2026: MINSTER MAN, trained by Robert Cowell and ridden by Paul Mulrennan. The ‘British Stallion Studs EBF Novice Stakes (GBB/IRE Incentive Race)’ over 5f at Musselburgh.
A smooth success for MINSTER MAN. Our well-named son of Blackbeard pinged the gates, travelled powerfully and never saw another rival under Paul Mulrennan, who never had to get serious with our imposing-looking and speedy juvenile.
Mulrennan told Racing TV: "He took a big step forward from the Yarmouth run. You can see he's a big, strong horse. He broke much smarter today and knew his job.
"He's got stacks of speed. He flew the gates, and I was just a passenger, really. He's got a lot more to come."
He ran a huge race on debut at Yarmouth, to finish a good 2nd behind the very fancied Boughey-trained Evenfall, who, according to her trainer, is destined for bigger and better things in the not-too-distant future.

Timeform rated his maiden victory with a Rating of 89: "Belied market weakness and paid a fine compliment to the promising Evefall who'd beaten him first time up, Minster Man sharply away and clearly having learnt plenty from the experience; made all, tackled over 1f out, asserted last ½f; potentially useful and one to look out for in a nursery."
