Winner 63 of 2025: UNASSUMING, trained by George Boughey and ridden by Jack Callan (5). The “bet365 Fillies' Handicap” over 1m ½f at Wolverhampton.

After her victory at Ascot and a good run at Newcastle last time out, we gave her a nice break over the summer, and she was right back to her very best at Wolverhampton, under a brilliant patient ride from up-and-coming apprentice Jack Callan. She showed a lightning turn of foot at the top of the straight, sweeping past the field and disputed the lead inside the final furlong. She kept on well towards the finish and won by 1 ¼ lengths. Our daughter of Lope de Vega, has now won five times from 11 races since we purchased her at the July HIT Sale. Her rather remarkable record now reads 11523111.

Timeform rated her fifth victory with a t92, saying: "Had good-value claimer back on board and wasted no time getting back on the up, overcoming a pace bias and value for extra on top of the bare winning margin; in rear, shaken up over 2f out, came wide entering straight, headway when edged left over 1f out, stayed on to lead final 100 yds, well on top finish; will continue to give a good account."

A very delighted Jack Callan after the race: "The race went exactly to plan. She settled nicely at the back of the field before she showed an incredible turn of foot and past the whole field.
