 King’s School loves Newcastle and, I think it's fair to say, Warren Fentiman. The young apprentice has built an incredible relationship with our 5-year-old gelding. From 11 rides, the now 3-pound claimer has ridden King’s School to victory on three occasions and has been placed a further 6-times.

Warren also managed to win on our son of Lightning Spear as a 7-pound-claimer, a 5-pound-claimer, and now as a 3-pound-claimer. A statistic that not many young jockeys can add to their CV.

With Warren knowing King’s School so well, it was very much a textbook ride from start to finish. The pair settled towards the rear early on, letting the race unfold before making a decisive move inside the final furlong, running down the leading horses with a late charge, but were well on top at the line to win by a length.

A fourth career success for our reliable and genuine King’s School at Newcastle. Well done to Gemma Tutty and her team at home, who have him in fantastic shape.
