Our well-bred son of the late Wootton Bassett, out of a sister to Group 1 winners Broome and Diego Velazquez, made a perfect and rather impressive start to his racing career, with our colt showing plenty of greenness throughout the race.

Callum Rodriguez got the leg up at Pontefract, and credit to the in-form jockey, who kept our colt up to his work, and despite drifting to his right inside the final furlong, he stayed on strongly to make a winning debut. With the Royal Meeting only two weeks away, it looked a strong race on paper beforehand, and without a doubt, you can easily upgrade his winning efforts, giving his inexperience in the closing stages.

'Top Hats at the ready', Tom Palin, Racing Manager of Boleto, told Nick Luck and the Racing Post after the race. Huge well done to his owners. Exciting times ahead.
