A sizeable and imposing chestnut colt, we’ve acquired plenty of bang for our bucks with an agreed hammer price of just 20,000€, it is fair to say. He’s very speedily bred, being by Group 1 producing sprint sire Sergei Prokofiev, the sire of our very own SONG OF THE CLYDE, the earner of almost £500,000 in his 2yo career, to date, alone.
He heads to the very upwardly mobile Newmarket trainer, Jack Morland, who has made a very decent impression in his 18 months as a trainer, constantly expanding his string and facilities.
The dam of our colt, herself a winner, has already produced the 83-rated LAZIEELUNCH and the unexposed winning 2yo Renovatio Angel. We’re pretty sure this colt, who qualifies for Band C & D races in 2026, where the BHA are targeting development race prize monies, can be an early runner for his owners - 5f or 6f in Maytime, we’d envisage.
Training Update: Jack is really pleased with our son of Sergei Prokofiev. He is cantering away again after he recovered quickly from a colic surgery and his gelding operation earlier in the spring. He has really grown and strengthened and is moving beautifully.
