Sergei Prokofiev has served MPR so well this season especially given the exploits of one of his sons SONG OF THE CLYDE, in winning one of the loftiest sales’ race pots in history, the Harry’s Half Million where, in just one day he plundered £338,821 for his win on the Knavesmire, York at their Ebor meeting. It’s fair to say that MPR, at the sales, take each and every Sergei Prokofiev progeny more than seriously.

One of the nicest fillies we saw in the sale, probably in the top half dozen that we saw all week, this filly hails from a family blessed with numerous black type winners and black type 2yo winners to boot. On looks, our filly, who we had to stretch to 38,000gns to secure, doesn’t look all speed - she has a little bit more quality about her than that, she possesses a bit of size, length and scope too. We’ve been approached by a number of good judges to say what a lovely filly they thought we’d bought and that, for the money (in racing 38,000gns isn’t a monster amount of money) she has a touch of quality about her. We’d have to say- we agree!

She heads to the Royal Ascot 2025 dual Group 1 winning trainer Harry Eustace, who looks to be just about the most upwardly mobile Newmarket trainer there is. We’re delighted to send him our first horse - syndicate manager, Tom Palin, who resides in Newmarket and Harry have been great friends for a number of years.

We couldn’t promise owners a Brocklesby or April 2026 debut, she may just take a little more time to come to hand - late Spring or early Summer- but we hope she’ll be running just in time for Royal Ascot, should Harry Eustace wish to target her there.

Training Update: She has now arrived at Harry's, and he she is such a strong scopey filly and settled in beautifully.
