The MPR and Richard Fahey 2-year-old success story: We have a superb record with our juveniles trained by Richard. His is our only trainer who has sent 2-year old’s that we have purchased as yearlings, to race at Royal Ascot – every year since 2017!  The owners of Ninetythreetwenty and Ventura Rebel accepted multiple six figure offers for both these 2-year olds and consequently earned a fantastic profit, so we do know how to buy a talented juvenile for Mr Fahey to train. Listed and Group winning fillies Sandiva and Lily's Angel were also superstars for us trained at Musley Bank in previous seasons. In 2020 Ventura Diamond shone when winning the Listed Bosra Sham Stakes at Newmarket, after also winning a Conditions race and lighting up the Qatar Goodwood Festival with a win on her 2nd start.

Purchased from Ireland's premier sale; The Goffs Orby, this colt is by the super sire KODIAC. He’s a sire sensation; having ascended to greatness amongst the stallion ranks in recent times, siring the top-class horses Hello Youmzain, Gifted Master, Kodi Bear, Tiggy Wiggy, Nando Parrado, Adaay, Prince Of Lir, Best Solution etc etc. He is the top European sire of 2 year old's and three Royal Ascot winners, in a day, is unprecedented, outside of the Coolmore Stallions’ cohort. Read about that famous Group race treble here:

Furthermore, the “Magic Cross” i.e. Kodiac and a Shamardal mare have produced Group 1 performers HELLO YOUMZAIN, GIFTED MASTER and UMM KULTHUM (3rd in the Cheveley Park for Richard Fahey). Literally 2 of the 3, top Kodiac’s ever, have hailed from the “Magic Cross” mating.  Read Kodiac's full profile here:

This fabulous colt, possesses a sensational walk and moves like a dream in his slower paces. Watch his walk and profile video here:

Babylonian, our colt’s mare, has already produced the Group 2 Norfolk Stakes runner up SANTRY (best OR of 106) and by Harbour Watch, who was a dual winner in his 2yo year, prior to Royal Ascot. Both sire and dam know how to produce Royal Ascot performers and he is now a half brother to another listed winner, the 3 year old by Elzaam, WREN'S BREATH won a listed race at Naas, so the family is flying!

Racing Update: We’ve always thought quite a bit of him, including the day we purchased him, given he came with a fairly lofty hammer price. He’s taken a while to grow into his frame and to strengthen up, but he’s improving rapidly now. Given he’s by the great Kodiac and is a half-brother to two black type performers, there’s no limit to where the improvement may end. Looks like 6f will be his trip, having run a race full of promise last time out, for the future, in finishing a length and a quarter behind the 104 rated winner Papa Don’t Preach, who had previously finished 4th in the Group 2 Flying Childers at Doncaster. As he matures and as the penny drops, Monsieur Kodi is proving a very exciting prospect. We should be able to find a winning opportunity anytime we like, be that, this side of Xmas, just into the New Year, and/or back for the turf season proper next year as a 3yo. Exciting!
