Super Saturday
Sun 13 Jul 2025
Winner 44 of 2025: MONSIEUR KODI, trained by Richard Fahey and ridden by Ethan Tindall (7). ‘Rocca Restaurant & Ora Bar Hamilton Handicap’ over 6f at Hamilton.
It was a special Saturday with not just one, but two wonderful MPR stalwarts storming to victories. Due to the dry and hot weather, we sadly haven’t seen our soft-ground-loving 6-year-old son of Kodiac much this season. Monsieur Kodi jumped well and travelled strongly under young apprentice Ethan Tindall, before being incredibly tough in the closing stages to get the better of the eventual second. This was his 8th career success. Huge well done to everyone.

Listen to Ethan Tindall's feedback here:
Timeform rated his 8th victory with a rating of 85: "Was given a good ride by his claimer and got off the mark for the year with little to spare; chased leader, edged ahead around 2f out, tackled final 1f, held on gamely."

Winner 45 of 2025: LEXINGTON KNIGHT, trained by Richard Hannon and ridden by Thomas Greatrex. ‘Hunt Forest Group Handicap’ over 1m4f at Salisbury.
Back-to-back wins for our stalwart and character Lexington Knight, who performed up to his very best this evening, after a 6lbs rise from his victory at Brighton. Our 8-year-old settled at the rear of the field after the leading pair had set a strong pace from the off. Turning for home, the main group started to close in on the leader, with Lexington Knight showing a phenomenal attitude when making strong headway inside the last 2 furlongs before disputing the lead ½ furlong from home to win comfortably by ½ length. A fabulous across the card double with Shabu Shabu and Keats House also finishing close seconds on the day.
There are few shares remaining in our much loved chestnut, follow the link for more information: https://www.middlehamparkracing.net/horses/view,lexington-knight_344.htm

Timeform rated his victory with an 88, saying: "Ran right up to his best in defying a 6 lb rise to follow up from his Brighton success, despite reverting to type almost immediately, his young rider, now 2-2 aboard this tricky type, worthy of plenty of credit given his mount didn't take a single stride on the bridle; raced off the pace, never travelling well, headway over 2f out, challenged inside final 1f, hung right, led last ½f, kept on, responded well; the strong pace here played to his strengths and he'll probably be worth taking on when bidding for the hat-trick."
