The MPR and Richard Fahey 2-year-old success story:
We have a superb record with our juveniles trained by Richard. His is our only trainer who has sent 2-year old’s that we have purchased as yearlings, to race at Royal Ascot – every year since 2017!
The owners of Ninetythreetwenty and Ventura Rebel accepted multiple six figure offers for both these 2-year olds and consequently earned a fantastic profit, so we do know how to buy a talented yearling for Mr Fahey to train. Listed and Group winning fillies Sandiva and Lily's Angel were also superstars for us trained at Musley Bank in previous seasons.
In 2020 Ventura Diamond shone when winning the Listed Bosra Sham Stakes at Newmarket, after also winning a Conditions race and lighting up the Qatar Goodwood Festival with a win on her 2nd start. With a Timeform rating of 101, she will be an exciting filly for 2021 as a 3-year-old.

Purchased from Ireland's premier sale; The Goffs Orby, this colt is by the super sire KODIAC. He’s a sire sensation; having ascended to greatness amongst the stallion ranks in recent times, siring the top-class horses Hello Youmzain, Gifted Master, Kodi Bear, Tiggy Wiggy, Nando Parrado, Adaay, Prince Of Lir, Best Solution etc etc. He is the top European sire of 2 year old's at present (see the gallery) and three Royal Ascot winners, in a day, is unprecedented, outside of the Coolmore Stallions’ cohort. Furthermore, the “Magic Cross” i.e. Kodiac and a Shamardal mare have produced Group 1 performers HELLO YOUMZAIN, GIFTED MASTER and most recently, Umm Kulthum (3rd in the Cheveley Park for Richard Fahey). Literally 2 of the 3, top Kodiac’s ever, have hailed from the “Magic Cross” mating.

This fabulous colt, possesses a sensational walk and moves like a dream in his slower paces. Watch his walk and profile video here:
He’s built like a sharp and very racy 2yo and looks destined to be operating in 2021 as an early sort, over 5f and 6f. He looks typical of the sort of horse who could line up in the Norfolk Stakes or Coventry Stakes: In fact, Babylonian, our colt’s mare, has already produced the Group 2 Norfolk Stakes runner up SANTRY (by Harbour Watch), who was a dual winner in his 2yo year, prior to Royal Ascot. Both sire and dam know how to produce Royal Ascot performers, it would seem, and we fully expect that this stunning colt, could follow in his predecessors’ and close relatives’ hoof steps.
He’s a thoroughly exciting colt for Richard to train for 2021 and beyond.
Training Update (15th July): We just had to back off him for a few weeks whilst his growth plates matured, something that is very common with 2 year olds, it's just waiting for the skeleton to mature and strengthen before kicking on with him again. He is back now and is doing lots of conditioning work - doing daily canters well and Richard will keep increasing what we're doing with him on the gallops, to build up to the start of his racing career. His new racing name has been confirmed as MONSIEUR KODI.
