The MPR and Richard Fahey 2-year-old success story:

We have a superb record with our juveniles trained by Richard. His is our only trainer who has sent 2-year old’s that we have purchased as yearlings, to race at Royal Ascot – every year since 2017!

The owners of Ninetythreetwenty and Ventura Rebel accepted multiple six figure offers for both these 2-year olds and consequently earned a fantastic profit, so we do know how to buy a talented juvenile for Mr Fahey to train. Listed and Group winning fillies Sandiva and Lily's Angel were also superstars for us trained at Musley Bank in previous seasons.

In 2020 Ventura Diamond shone when winning the Listed Bosra Sham Stakes at Newmarket, after also winning a Conditions race and lighting up the Qatar Goodwood Festival with a win on her 2nd start.

"Tally-Ho Stud’s flagship stallion has become the most prolific sire of juvenile stakes winners at up to 6f since the Pattern began"

Purchased from Ireland's premier sale; The Goffs Orby, this colt is by the super sire KODIAC. He’s a sire sensation; having ascended to greatness amongst the stallion ranks in recent times, siring the top-class horses Hello Youmzain, Gifted Master, Kodi Bear, Tiggy Wiggy, Nando Parrado, Adaay, Prince Of Lir, Best Solution etc etc. He is the top European sire of 2 year old's and three Royal Ascot winners, in a day, is unprecedented, outside of the Coolmore Stallions’ cohort. Read about that famous Group race treble here:

Furthermore, the “Magic Cross” i.e. Kodiac and a Shamardal mare have produced Group 1 performers HELLO YOUMZAIN, GIFTED MASTER and most recently, Umm Kulthum (3rd in the Cheveley Park for Richard Fahey). Literally 2 of the 3, top Kodiac’s ever, have hailed from the “Magic Cross” mating.

His sire has a broad CV:

  • Son of Danehill
  • Half-brother to Invincible Spirit
  • World record-breaking sire of 2yos. He holds the record for most 2yo winners in a single season.
  • Sire of more than 130 Stakes performers worldwide and counting.
  • 28 stakes performers in 2020
  • He broke records again in 2020 as the sire of 9 stakes-winning 2yos!
  • His progeny includes, Group 1-winning fillies: Campanelle, Fairyland, Tiggy Wiggy along with triple Group 1 winner Best Solution and crack sprinter Hello Youmzain.
  • Other top runners include Nando Parrado, winner of the 2020 Gr.2 Coventry Stakes Kessar, Adaay, Kodi Bear, Jash, Gifted Master and True Valour.
  • 2020 Yearlings Have Made: 420,000gns, 350,000gns, 300,000gns (x2), 255,000gns.
  • Champion European Sire (Winners) 2019 and 2020
  • Champion European Sire (Winners) 2019 and 2020

This fabulous colt, possesses a sensational walk and moves like a dream in his slower paces. Watch his walk and profile video here:

Babylonian, our colt’s mare, has already produced the Group 2 Norfolk Stakes runner up SANTRY (best OR of 106) and by Harbour Watch, who was a dual winner in his 2yo year, prior to Royal Ascot. Both sire and dam know how to produce Royal Ascot performers and he is now a half brother to another listed winner, the 3 year old by Elzaam won a listed race at Naas, so the family is flying!

Training Update (28th Sept): He is a seriously good looking, lovely moving individual now and has plenty of size and scope. It's one thing hearing this from your trainer but seeing it with our own eyes at our weekend stable visit, really did bring home what a nice prospect we have on our hands physically. We will now just canter away on the gallops at home gradually increasing the intensity of the work that he's doing going up there to get him to a stage where he would be fit enough to go away for a couple of gallops. See some new videos of him in the gallery (he is saddle cloth number 2.)

Richard sent us the video update below, with his voiceover: "He has grown an awful lot but has really matured. He's just starting to please us and settled into his work well and he is quite a relaxed guy with no issues. A strong horse now and likes expressing himself, but he is certainly a happy fella!"
