New Breeze Up purchase from the Arqana Summer Sale !
Our nap of the sale was this fabulous daughter of Kodi Bear, she both fills the eye and flew down the Deauville runway in the second fastest time of all the fillies in the race, finishing in 3rd place overall, even including all the colts. The only filly to usurp her was a very small individual who would have thrived given the demands of a 400m race, where whipping up to top speed, quickly, would be of paramount importance, unlike the demands of a 5f or 6f race - we’re pretty sure we’re the best filly in the race, once the finishing positions are extrapolated out by a further 600m or so.
If you watch her breeze video, you can see how hard she tries, she has a whopping stride length and a fantastic head carriage - we’d angle the best of both of those facets in the whole sale - our catalogue notes were pretty definitive in those regards.
We purchased the best horse from this sale in 2023 and we’d like to think we’re in with a very good chance of having unearthed the same, once again, for a fairly meagre €18,000 on this occasion.
She ought to be ready to run, that’s the beauty of the breeze ups, either, later this month or very early August. She qualifies for Band D races and above and we expect her to hit the winners’ enclosure before too long.
A very exciting filly, on a very sensible budget.

Training update (September 18th): Nigel is very happy with the filly. Her work at home has been good and we are looking forwad to seeing her on the racetrack. Rowan gave her a lovely introduction, ridden patiently, she finished her race off well, staying on strongly in the closing stages. Her race entries/declarations, will show on this page.
