Winner 48 of 2025: LIMA SIERRA, trained by Nigel Tinkler and ridden by Alex Jary (5). ‘PricedUp Daily Sports Boosts Handicap’ over 5f at Nottingham.
On a sunny and warm afternoon, Lima Sierra was looking to return to the winner’s enclosure after her victory only three starts ago. She broke well and was quickly into stride. Alex, who visually made all, kept our daughter by Kodi Bear, to herself near the stand side rail before slowly coming across to join the main group towards the middle of the track. But she was carried right and bumped in the closing stages by the eventual winner / first past the post at the time. Given the severe interference and close margin of defeat, Lima Sierra was rightly awarded the race after a stewards' inquiry. We were left biting our nails until the result was announced over the loudspeakers. A huge cheer from our owners and a well-deserved second victory for our filly.

Timeform rated her victory with a 63+, saying: "Not seen to best effect at Ripon last time, wasted no time getting back on track, going with more zest initially racing solo and rightly awarded the race in the stewards room after the winner took her off a true line late on; switched to race alone stand side, in touch, took keen hold, headway when hung left and joined main group over 1f out, upsides final 1f, every chance when bumped and carried left final 50 yds, edged out dying strides; she's pretty exposed and a small rise for this will make her vulnerable."
