Winner 57 of 2025: LIMA SIERRA, trained by Nigel Tinkler and ridden by Alex Jary (5). The ‘Every Race Live On Racing TV Handicap’ over 7f at Catterick Bridge. 

Some horses do wear their hearts on their sleeves. Lima Sierra is most certainly one of those. She has now won three races this season, two of those at Catterick, and really relished the step up in trip to 7 furlongs yesterday, having won going away and probably easier than the winning margin suggested. 

Our daughter of Kodi Bear pinged the stalls, but settled in a prominent position, tracking the leader. Turning for home, she began her challenge on its outer, showing a fantastic battling attitude to run down the eventual second and leading horse, and at the same time, seeing off attacks from the third-placed horse, who tried to close in on our 3-year-old filly. 

A very game performance after a sensibly timed ride by apprentice Alex Jary. Huge well done to her owners and trainer Nigel Tinkler, who has her in splendid form all season.
