*From the Goffs Premier Yearling Sale 2021. The sale where we purchased our Group 1 winner and Champion European 2yo 2013; TOORMORE (£36,000), Group 2 winner VENTURA TORMENTA and dual Group 2 winner KOOL KOMPANY (£40,000)*

SIRE: Exceed and Excel

DAM: Simmy's Temple (We owned her and she was 2nd in the Brocklesby Conditions Stakes at Doncaster on debut! We have added a photo of her and her owners in the gallery.)

TRAINER: Marco Botti

Generally, in life, you get what you pay for and horseracing can be no different, as a rule. Of course, there are examples, of infrequent rags to riches, but a spend of £72,000 remains quite a heavy spend for our purchasing team (and that’s even before commissions and winter keep, through to March), are taken into account, so it’s pretty easy to see the esteem in which we hold this colt.

However, don’t take our word for it, Marco Botti; who trained the best ever son of EXCEED AND EXDEL in Excelebration (who kept bumping into Frankel throughout his racing career), describes this particular colt as “THE horse, from this sale, who I’d most like to buy.”

We’ve had to dig deep, between us! However, we’re all agreed, that a fairly lofty spend was, in this colt’s case, well worth the faith we’ve invested.

He’s from a very fast and precocious family (his appearance is one of a horse who is way beyond his chronological age) and, as such, looks like he’s a very sharp 2yo for April/May/June and beyond, of his 2yo career 2022. He should start off at 5f and may stay 6f or so, in time.

Sharp, early and classy are words we’d indulge ourselves in, with regard to this sumptuous individual. Take a look at his photos and videos and you can be forgiven for beginning to dream of Royal Ascot 2022. He could just look sensational value for money, this time next year, who knows?

Watch his walk and profile video here:

Training Update (17th December): He is currently strengthening his bone and increasing the density with lots of steady canters. Marco says that he has a very good temperament and has taken everything in his stride - he is very pleased with him. He told us that he has a top three of his group of yearlings and this colt is one of those, now that's what you like to hear! You can see a new videos of him in the gallery at home warming up and on Warren Hill - in one, he is at the front of the yearling group on the nearside, wanting to overtake the lead horse! His race entries will show on this page - as you can see, he is entered in the £250k Goffs Premier Yearling Stakes, for 2-y-o's in August, at York, during the Ebor meeting.
