The Reason behind the Naming of The Kalonji Man: "The name “The Kalonji Man” comes from my business background in Black Seed Oil (www.theblackseedoil.co). “Kalonji” is the traditional name for black seed (Nigella sativa), which is also commonly referred to as black seed or black cumin seed, among other names. The term “Kalonji” (and Kalonji oil) is more widely used in the Middle East, whereas in Europe and America it is more commonly known as Black Seed or Black Seed Oil. Without going too in-depth and boring you (or viewers) to death — Kalonji seeds are the small black seeds often seen on naan or flatbreads. They are highly regarded for their nutritional value and health properties, particularly when the oil is extracted and used as a daily food supplement. The oil is also used topically in various products for skin and hair. There are even a growing number of equine supplements that include black seed oil, as it is believed to support overall condition and coat quality. Given my long-standing involvement in this industry, the name felt both meaningful and fitting, while still sounding memorable and racehorse-appropriate."
