Fierce Warrior, is by SHOLOKHOV, the sire of multiple Grade 1 winner Shishkin, leading top-rated Novice Hurdler Bob Olinger, Gold Cup Hero and 6 time Gr.1 Winner Don Cossack, Dell’ Arca and many many more.
This stunning gelding is trained by the master of Seven Barrows; 5-time Champion trainer Nicky Henderson OBE, who of course, also trains Shishkin!
He is from the Consignors of Rock On Ruby, The Storyteller, Big Zeb, American Mike & Tullow East and we couldn’t be more thrilled to add this high class prospect to our National Hunt team.
His racing name, FIERCE WARRIOR, relates to a work by the author Sholokhov.
Racing Update (14th September): Got bogged down in the soft ground on racecourse debut, he put the record straight in no uncertain terms last time out at Worcester (see below) impressively and he won going away. He beat some heavily backed horses from other big yards, including a JP McManus owned, Neil Mulholland trained favourite that was backed as of defeat was out of the question. He has a high-class future ahead of him, no doubt. He is now back in fitness exercise at Seven Barrows, after his summer break combined with schooling and all that is going well. We look forward to seeing him at our owners stable visit.....
