Purchased at the Arqana October Yearling Sale, he is 'French Owner Premiums' qualified and is by INTELLO. Read about his sire here: http://www.lequesnay.com/pid23/etalon-17/intello#production
We like to think we have an eye for a nice horse; a horse who is very well put together and who moves well too. In addition, we like to think that rather than accept the widely held beliefs in racing, which contribute to "fashion," that we are able to think outside the box a little too and in the case of the sire Intello, we believe there is something of a dynasty starting to appear. Our initial observations, being prompted by our own 4 time winning son of Intello, Lexington Empire.
Mensen Ernst's dam is non too shabby either, she's already produced horses rated 114, 104, 100, 91 and 89. He is an outstanding looking, chestnut son of Intello. He's a smashing individual, he's got some size about him, but not too much. He possesses a lovely balance to his movement and he carries himself well and in a super, fluent manner. He looks to be a really super package that will afford us great opportunities, going forward.
Renowned and respected journalist James Willoughby has just published a list of "9 Stallions Set for International Stardom," one of which is Intello. We have added a screenshot of his write up in the gallery.
Training update: He is a 4yo gelding by Intello and we moved him to be trained in France, to take advantage of the lucrative prize money, as he is French Owner Premuim qualified. Now a 6-time winner in France, he is a valuable commodity who should continue to more than pay his way and Simone is superb at identifying targets for him. His race entries/declarations will show on this page.
