Mensen Ernst wins again in France

Thu 31 Oct 2019

That's two days in a row where we have had a winner and a 2nd place!

MENSEN ERNST lined up in the Class 2 Prix De Pauillac at Bordeaux Le Bouscat. His second start for trainer Jean-Claude Rouget and it was a case of  'Deja Vu'!

He ended the month just as he started it, winning in Bordeaux under Guillaume Trolley de Prevaux and taking his record to 2 from 2 in France. He made very light work of the other 5 runners in the field winning by an impressive 6 lengths. Having been purchased by our team at the Arqana Yearling Sale, the son of Intello qualifies for 'French Owner Premiums', so he won just under just over £19,000 yesterday!

He seems to be really enjoying himself in France, and there could be plenty more to come in his 3yo season and next year. Well done to his owners.

We also saw a super run in 2nd by the Richard Hannon trained LEXINGTON REBEL at Lingfield. Giving 7lbs to the Coolmore owned winner, he finished 2 lengths away from the 3rd horse. His owners were delighted with him and posed for a photo in the winners' enclosure, which is in the gallery.

We are now on 83 winners for the year, which puts us ahead of last year at this stage.
