He’s an impressive young stallion, who was a very fast and precocious horse himself, yet he trained on magnificently well to take the Hungerford Stakes, the July Cup and the Diamond Jubilee at Royal Ascot. Lethal Force has recently moved to stand in France at Haras de Grandcamp. There’s a popular saying in racing; “everyone loves a grey” and it’s pretty much true, so it was almost certainly of little surprise to breeder Richard Botterill, that, when first setting foot in the World, he turned out to be, just like his father Lethal Force, a grey!
He’s a grand servant - having won 6 times and earning £92,000 of prize money. A recent winner on the snow at St Moritz, his wind caught him out at Wolves, so we’ve tidied that up now, and he should prove a super, dual-purpose horse for the Summer.
Racing Update (27th August): Fairmac is in great order and really enjoying life. Find a video of him below, cantering around the fields, a type of exercise what Lucinda likes doing during the winter and after they had plenty of rain, which he absolutely adores. He started off his summer campaign in a maiden hurdle at Cartmel with a fantastic 4th place. He came out of his race very well and backed up his hurdling debut with a 2nd place after staying on strongly. See video updates from Lucinda below.
