We are delighted to bring you our latest 2 year-old purchase; a colt by COTAI GLORY (sire of our Group1 winner The Platinum Queen) in training with David Loughnane.
David, the trainer of Go Bears Go (RPR116) Sparks Fly (RPR108), Lola Showgirl (RPR104) and Walbank (RPR 101) rang to tell us about this colt and his super home work. We immediately decided to purchase him privately.
He is a speedball for 5f or 6f and is ready to run, just as soon as his name is formalised. David says: "He is all there physically and has an exceptional mind."
Here's his walk and profile as a yearling:
David took him for an away day racecourse gallop to Wolverhampton recently, where he was ridden by Rossa Ryan, who really liked how he felt. Off level weights with two well bred 2 year olds and the 82 rated 4 year old sprinter, Commander Straker, he passes them in good style.
Watch him in an impressive racecourse gallop (farside in rear, at the start)
David reported: "That was a really pleasing bit of work. Rossa said that he switched off beautifully in behind and when he pulled him out wide off the bend, he flicked his lead and quickened away to run through the line, taking a while to pull up."
He passed the vet with flying colours and we can't wait to see him race in our silks!
Early closing race entries: The £250,000 Weatherbys Super Sprint Stakes at Newbury in July and the Weatherbys Scientific £300,000 2-Y-O Stakes at Doncaster in September.
He will be given, next week, an entry in the £150,000 Listed Redcar 2yo Trophy where his sire’s median will afford him a very advantageous weight allocation.
