Who Dares, Wins!
WINNER 94 OF 2021: IF YOU DARE, trained by Mark Johnston and ridden by Joe Fanning: 'The tote.co.uk Free Streaming Every UK Race Handicap' at Chelmsford, over 7f.
Drawn in the centre, he broke smartly, with Joe taking him across to the rail, as he forged to the head of the field. Taking the runners along, he was still travelling well coming into the home straight and kept on strongly. Always doing enough, he crossed the line to win by 1 and 3/4 lengths.
It was a race marred by the awful incident on the home bend, with the stricken Godolphin horse - our thoughts are with connections. We won't be adding the race replay here for that reason.

In his post-race interview, Joe said: "I was comfortable on him in the race and he has done it well. We have always thought a bit about him; he has bounced back well, so hopefully he can go and win again."
Timeform gave him a career best p99 rating and went on to say: "Is perhaps just a superior horse on all-weather as he got firmly back on the up with a recent run behind him, belated confirmation of his early-season promise on synthetics; led, went with zest, shaken up early in straight, edged left 1f out, kept up to work."
Syndicate manager Mike says: "Well done to his owners on his win yesterday. He did it really well and Joe didn't have to resort to the whip and he confirmed the promise that he showed earlier in the season. Timeform have given him a new rating of 99 this morning which is super. It was really good to see him get his head in front again."
As we close down on 100 winners for the year, we see the £1 million pounds of 2021 total prize money won coming closer! £6,600 to go and tomorrow on Champions Day, we have two runners at Ascot - now to pass that total at this meeting would be amazing!
