A very cool double

Winner 87 of 2026: MR COOL, trained by Charlie Johnston and ridden by Connor Beasley. The 'Ladbrokes Get More With Racing Bet Builder' Handicap over 6f at Ayr.

 Mr Cool has shown plenty of promise on his most recent starts and returned to the winners' enclosure in dominant fashion at Ayr.

Travelling strongly throughout the race, Mr Cool made good headway inside the final two furlongs, kept on, and really stuck his neck out to see off a late challenge from the eventual second-placed horse.

A good performance from our now 4-year-old, a pretty cool customer, who loves his racing and turns up every few weeks – the perfect Syndicate horse?

Timeform rated his victory with a 76: "Finally took advantage of a tumbling mark (14 lb lower than at the start of the season), though his rather in-and-out record suggests he'll be no banker to follow up; in touch, headway to lead approaching final 1f, kept on."

Winner 88 of 2026: PAPIER VIEW, trained by Richard Hannon and ridden by Joe Leavy. The ‘Napoleons Casino And Restaurant Leeds Nursery Handicap’ over 6f at Ripon.

 Our gelded son of Lucky Vega travelled powerfully through the race as he did when getting off the mark just over a week ago at Nottingham. Joe Leavy disputed the lead two furlongs from home, and Paper View stretched clear easily inside the final hundred yards to win by 1 ¾ lengths. An impressive performance and well done to his owners.

A run at the Goodwood Festival is now on the cards for our back-to-back winner.

Timeform rated his back-to-back victory with a 79: "Showed improved form to follow up on nursery debut, much more professional that he had been earlier in the month, the hat-trick very much on given the manner of this success; tracked pace, travelled best, led 2f out, pushed along soon after, in control when edged right final 100 yds, won readily."
