WINNER 26 OF 2024: TYGER BAY, trained by Conrad Allen and ridden by Jack Gilligan: The 'Download The Vickers.Bet App Handicap' over 6f at Catterick.
His first start on the turf this year, after running well on the AW, he was chalked up as joint favourite. Breaking okay, he sat in behind and tracked the leaders. On the outer, at 2f out, he was asked for an effort and made good headway. Ridden inside the final furlong, he stayed on strongly to lead towards the finish, winning by 1/2 a length.
His 10th career win and the 6th in our silks.

There was no post race coverage by Racing TV, but Jack did tell us: "He ran a lovely race and gave me a really good start today. We slotted into a beautiful position just tracking and I just wanted to keep him balanced coming off the bend and had them in my sights in the finish. I am really happy with him!"
Timeform rated it as an 83 performance, saying: "Back on turf, gained reward for a string of creditable efforts; in touch, shaken up out wide under 2f out, every chance when edged left 1f out, led last ½f, kept on; even a small rise in the weights will leave him vulnerable when attempting to follow up.”

Syndicate manager Tim says: "Well done to his owners and to Jack, who gave him a great ride. They sat waiting to pounce, with Tyger showing a fabulous attitude in the finish. A reward for super consistency. We have had 7 runners this week and this has produced two winners, two 2nd, one 3rd, one 4th place, so not bad consistency for MPR also!"
