Not 1, Not 2, Not 3, but 4 WINNERS!

Sat 16 Jul 2022

WINNER 76 OF 2022: IATO'S ANGEL, trained by Keith Dalgleish and ridden by Callum Rodriguez: 'The Contraflow Traffic Management EBF Restricted Maiden Stakes' over 6f, at Hamilton.

The daughter of Footstepsinthesand, was having her third start and gosh was she keen to get on with things, as she reared as the stalls opened. After losing ground, Callum settled her in rear, starting to nudge her along 3f out. Making headway, he took her to the outer as they approached the last furlong and she soon moved into second. Keeping on strongly, she led in the final 110yds, winning cosily, by a neck.

Winning our fourth 'IRE Incentive' voucher of the season too!

Timeform rated it as a 74 performance, her best so far, saying: "Showed improved form to get off the mark at the third attempt, the greater emphasis on stamina this track provides proving ideal for her; held up, pushed along 2f out, headway out wide 1f out, stayed on to lead final 100 yds, won readily; will stay 7f.”

Very happy owners at the track too....

WINNER 77 OF 2022: SILKY WILKIE, trained by Karl Burke and ridden by Sam Feilden (-7): 'The Racing TV Handicap' over 5f, at Hamilton.

Lining up alongside another of our popular sprinters Ventura Flame, Silky Wilkie is one of our most consistent horses and returning after a 21-day break, he was clearly in good spirits as he got loose beforehand!

Horse and jockey were reunited and he did what we have seen before from him this season - make all! He faced a strong challenged, but with that familiar 'Mehmas' head carriage, he saw them all off and kept on well to win comfortably by 1/2 a length from our other runner Ventura Flame running a great race in 2nd, with the favourite, 1 and a 1/4 lengths back in 3rd.

Timeform rated it as a career best 92 performance, saying: "Is proving consistent and produced a career best from the front, knuckling down well when challenged; made all, ridden over 1f out, kept on; she should continue to give a good account."

Sam said in his Racing TV interview: "He's pretty fresh! He pinged the gates and I just let him bowl along. A progressive horse and so consistent, genuine and tough. He is clearly improving and thriving."

WINNER 78 OF 2022: VENTURA RASCAL, trained by Kevin Ryan and ridden by Sam James: The feature 'Caygill Family Optional Claiming Handicap' over 1m, at Pontefract.

Now this race, is one we like. It's worth £30k and your horse is only claimable if you choose. We like it so much, that we won it in 2019 with Star Of Southwold and in 2018 with Waarif!

Breaking well from stall 7, Sam did a great job of getting him across to take the rail and as he loves to bowl along, he was soon 2 lengths ahead. He faced a challenge coming into the final furlong, but kept on well, to win by 1/2 a length. This was his 6th win and it was a great ride by Sam!

"Ventura Rascal digs in and makes all to win." Watch the full race replay here:  https://www.racingtv.com/videos/watch/horse_racing_replays/400304-caygill-family-optional-claiming-handicap-2

He was The Racing Post 'Star Performer on the card too: 'Star performer: Ventura Rascal (7.24) bounced back to form in the night's feature.'

Timeform rated it as a joint career best 84 performance, saying: "Came out on top racing from his last winning mark, also having this race go more smoothly than last time, getting comfortably to the lead back up in trip; made all, quickened 3f out, pushed along 2f out, driven out, well positioned."

WINNER 79 OF 2022: DYNAMIC FORCE, trained by Robert Cowell and ridden by Danny Tudhope: 'The Catherine Beaumont 50th Birthday Celebration Handicap' over 5f, at Pontefract.

Running in our co-owner Mr Tom Morley's silks (he runs in alternate colours,) we have to say, that this review is much the same as the last two, in that he broke smartly, and literally made all! The field tried hard to get to him, but he kept on well, to gamely win his 3rd race, by a neck.

"Dynamic Force is hanging tough and holds on to win." Watch the full race replay here: https://www.racingtv.com/videos/watch/horse_racing_replays/400307-catherine-beaumont-50th-birthday-celebration-handicap-3

Timeform rated it as a career best 97 performance, saying: "Was coming out of a big Royal Ascot handicap that's proving strong form and got back back on the up returned to these much calmer waters, showing a good attitude from the front; made all, ridden over 1f out, kept on, proved game; he's still lightly raced enough to think he can do even better still."

Our founder and Director of Racing Tim says: "We had to check last night if we have ever had a four-timer and we haven't. There have been plenty of trebles (including 4 this year) but a four-timer is super work. We sent out 12 runners yesterday, our busiest of the year, with 95 owners at the courses. To come home with two 2nd's (Absolute Queen, Ventura Flame) and two 3rd's (Beltane, Lexington Knight,) as well, is great.

Thank you to our trainers and the jockeys and I should give a shout out to our team of syndicate managers who work so closely with the trainers on race placement. We spend a lot of time looking through the fixture book and it pays off. Congratulations to our owners on a great day at the office.”
