Winner 34 of 2025: UNASSUMING, trained by George Boughey and ridden by Billy Loughnane. ‘Paul Corrigan Memorial Handicap’ over 1 Mile at Yarmouth.
A HIT purchase in July ’24 for only 9,500 Guineas, Unassuming has been an absolute star for us. Little niggles along the way, but that didn't stop her from gaining a 3rd victory in our silks. Our daughter of Lope de Vega returned to Yarmouth after some time off and looked fantastic in the prelims. Billy gave her a wonderful patient ride, letting her find a nice rhythm in rear at the early stages of the race, before making good headway and starting to challenge her opponents in the closing stages. She showed a gutsy attitude and battled hard to fight off the second-placed horse. Well done to her patient owners, as well as George Boughey and his team, a brilliant training performance and team effort. A hugely deserved victory for our filly. Will a trip to Royal Ascot be next on the agenda?
