Winner 93 of 2026: FILLIPAS, trained by Rod Millmann and ridden by Lewis Edmunds. The ‘Robert Gilbert Birthday Celebration Irish EBF Restricted Novice Stakes’ over 6f at Salisbury.

 Our daughter of Coulsty made a fantastic debut at Bath behind a subsequent listed winner, showing speed and ability, and with excuses at Newbury last time out, we were quietly hopeful she would give a good account of herself.

FILLIPAS got off to a good start under Lewis Edmunds and settled in midfield against the far side rail, where she was travelling strongly.

Just as Liam was going through the motions, the gaps appeared, and she quickened up nicely, pulled through, and in the end, powered away to win by ¾ length with another 4 ½ lengths to the remaining runners.

Huge well done to Rod and his team, as well as our owners.

Timeform rated her victory with a 67: "Showed improved form to get off the mark on the back of a 7-week break, possibly a tad fortunate on the day as the hanging Chan Noir carried the odds-on favourite into the centre of the track, allowing things to open up nicely down on the inner; in touch, headway to lead over 1f out, kept on; she should hold her own in nurseries."
