Purchased this time last year at the Tattersalls HIT July Sale, for only 9.500 Guineas, our daughter of Lope de Vega has now won four times, with two further placements from only 9 starts in our silks. After a solid run in the Kensington Palace during Royal Ascot, Unassuming returned to Ascot for a valuable Apprentice Handicap on a hot Friday afternoon. Jack, who knows her well, settled her into rear and had to sit and wait for a gap 2furlongs from home before she was able to weave her way through and win by a neck. A fantastic ride by the young apprentice and a wonderful training performance from George Boughey, who continues to have her in fine form this summer.

Timeform rated another career best with a 92, saying: "Found the drop into much calmer waters doing the trick in recording a fourth handicap win from 9 attempts, the margin almost as narrow as for her her succesful Yarmouth comeback; held up, headway when had to wait for gap briefly 2f out, edged ahead inside final 1f, ridden out."
