Winner 29 of 2025: CAPUCHINERO, trained by Alice Haynes and ridden by Christian Howarth (3). ‘Get The Inside Track With raceday-ready.com Handicap’ over 7f at Wolverhampton.

6-year-old mare Capuchinero recorded her fifth victory on Thursday evening, and her first in our silks. Placed numerous times, it was wonderful to see her get her head back in front.

From stall 6, jockey Christian Howarth dropped her towards the rear of the field, where Capuchinero travelled strongly. Turning for home, she made good headway before kicking clear inside the final furlong to win comfortably by 3 lengths. A great success, well done to her owners, Alice and all the team at home.

Timeform rated her victory with a t72, saying: "Was back in cheekpieces after a short break (wore visor last 6 starts) and recaptured her best 2024 form for a clear-cut success from a career-low mark, ridden from further back than is usually the case; held up, still only one behind her when pushed along 3f out, headway to lead entering final 1f, soon clear."
