After two very good second places on his first two runs, the son of Ardad set the standard and was tenacious in the closing stages. Lexington Boom got off to a great start under Oliver Stammers, and settled just behind the leader, tracking the pace.

Travelling strongly throughout, his jockey delivered him towards the centre of the track, and after showing a fantastic turn of foot, he disputed the lead inside the final furlong and kept on strongly to win by a length and three-quarters.

A nice performance from the son of Ardad, who showed a brilliant attitude and should be able to build on his maiden victory in nursery company.

Well done to his owners and to his trainer, Grant Tuer, who strongly recommended him to us.
