Winner 77 of 2026: GIORGIO M, trained by Mark Loughnane and ridden by Edward Greatrex. The ‘Always Gamble Responsibly at BetMGM Handicap’ over 7f at Lingfield.

Christmas Spirit was truly felt at Lingfield on the 22nd of Christmas, with our brave Giorgio M putting on an incredibly gutsy performance under Eddie Greatrex—a great front-running ride by the Lambourn-based jockey.  

Our 4-year-old gelding gained a couple of lengths on the field when turning for home and found plenty under pressure inside the final furlong, keeping on well to win comfortably, putting up a career best performance of a TF Rating of p86.

Now under the tutelage of Mark Loughnane, he had overcome a significant setback in the spring and showed his class & determination by finishing a close third two weeks ago on his return after a 7-month layoff. Well done to all his owners who have been incredibly patient and supportive.
