'A superb middle-distance pedigree' by the sire of French Derby & Eclipse winner and now stallion VADENI'
Hot on the heels of MPR owned Lazy Griff & Dear My Friend - both the highest rated horses at the Johnston yard in their time - & slightly further back, and similarly, The Gatekeeper & Marie’s Diamond we felt this stunning colt was the perfect ticket to follow on and add to that illustrious line up.

We’d seen him and loved him on our rounds at Tattersalls, the day before he we through the ring & decided we’d give him a go. We checked with Charlie that he was (a) happy with the horse & (b) that he’d be happy to train him - to which he replied ….
“Yes, very much so, I gave him an A+ when I saw him” - subsequently 85,000 gns later we’d secured him for Charlie to train.
Look for yourself:
If good enough there’s little reason why our fabulous colt cannot tread the same boards as his Dante/Chester Vase & Epsom Derby predecessors.
He looks like a 6f/7f debutant in possibly May, however June or July 2027 would be more likely - he’s more than likely to improve significantly with age and distance of ground as the season progresses. It’s fair to his 3yo year will be where he’s seen to excel, taking his owners to plenty of the top tracks around the country, all being well, and possibly further afield too.
A very exciting addition to an illustrious MPR & Johnston alumni - he’s plenty to live up to - let’s hope he can?
