We're buying at the 'Breeze-Up' Sales - sign up to our mailing list to hear of any new purchases..
We are in 'Breeze-up Season' now and we are very pleased to have purchased two from the Craven Sale at Tattersalls: A colt by Mehmas, who recorded the fastest breeze of the day, going to Richard Hannon and a Filly by Noble Mission, bought to go to Marco Botti.
Last week we managed to secure the fastest timed breezer from the Goffs/Arqana breeze up sale: A Colt by Twlight Son, who goes to Richard Fahey. (Their details and share prices can be seen on the 'Buy Shares' page.)
We have two more breeze up sales to go. This week it's the Tattersalls Guineas sale and then the Tattersalls Ireland Goresbridge sale in two weeks.
We have had some lucrative success stories from these sales; not just providing owners with winners but a tidy profit too. Here are three examples of Breeze-up horses purchased by our bloodstock team, all of whom are now attending this years sales:
VENTURA STORM - Trained by Richard Hannon and purchased at the Tattersalls Craven sale for 110k in 2016. Won 327k in prize money (Group 1, Group 3, two Listed wins & 2nd in the St Leger) and was sold privately to race in Australia for a high 6 figure sum.
DONJUAN TRIUMPHANT - Trained by Richard Fahey and purchased from the Tattersalls Craven sale for 30k. Won 239k in prize money (Group 2, 2nd in a Group 1) and was sold privately for a 6 figure sum.
DARK ACCLAIM - Trained by Marco Botti and purchased at the Goffs sale for 45k, he ran for us for a season and a half, winning more than his purchase price in race prize money. He was rated over 100 and finished 4th in the Italian Derby, Group 2 on his final start for us, before being sold for 6 times his initial purchase price at the Goffs London Sale in the summer of his 3yo career.
See their record for us here: http://www.middlehamparkracing.net/record.htm
This time last year, we purchased the 'breezers' BATCHELOR BOY (Marco Botti) who has now won 3 times for his syndicate and LEXINGTON DASH (Richard Hannon), an impressive winner at Newmarket, twice in the last two weeks and who looks to be going places. He earned a Timeform rating of 104 for his Class 2 win at HQ on June 28th.
Our Hornblower Conditions Race winner VENTURA LIGHTNING (Richard Fahey) was also bought as a breezer in France. He is now officially rated 101 and as he is French Owners Premium qualified, he could be taking a trip to those shores to compete this year, where the prize money is lucrative.
At all levels, we continue to deliver with our breeze up purchases and we see no reason why this should change in 2020!
