A third double of the month on Saturday!

"There's nothing like a winner" said the owner who had traveled a long way to see their horse race and not one but two winners yesterday too! We seem to be getting in the habit of 'doubles' - that's the eleventh of the year, with 46 winners in total.

Mulligatawny had Tony Hamilton in the saddle for Roger Fell at Ripon and he gave him a peach of a ride, making all, to pick up the £6,900 first prize. We all knew he was knocking on the door after two second places and yesterday the champagne duly flowed! Indomeneo completed a great day for the Richard Fahey team by winning at Lingfield by over 3 lengths under Jack Garritty. The son of Piccolo has been a model of consistency, with his form figures reading 2121, also showing his versatility on the all-weather, good to firm and soft ground.
