Purchased at the Osarus Yearling sale in France, where we purchased TIGRE DU TERRE this time last year, this super filly pretty much has it all. She has a fantastic page being a FULL SISTER to a black type performer, rated 105 and half-sister to a horse rated 92 by the stallion Carlotamix. Our filly's full sister called DU PYLA was a dual winner over 5f in the April of her 2yo career and our filly looks just as precocious/forward as her sister. Du Pyla went on the be placed four times at pattern level, finishing 2nd and 3rd in Group 3 races in the first half of her 2yo career.

Our filly is the most gorgeous filly you could wish to see, she moves fantastically and her temperament is to die for. All these factors stand her in fabulous stead for 2018. Not only that, but she appears to be and appeals as a very sharp, racy individual who ought to be running very early in 2018 in fillies' races in March, April and May. Races like the Marygate at York and the Hillary Needler at Ripon, The Queen Mary at Royal Ascot spring to mind if she were up to that standard; her pedigree certainly suggests she could be.

Our filly is bred for 5f in the early part of her career and she has the physique for this mantra to boot. We feel she was very very well bought at €22,000 and ought to be able to offer her owners many days out as a regular runner in 2018. She is qualified for French owners premiums too, where she can earn an extra 64% on top of the race purse, so we would expect to be taking full advantage of this initiative.

Trainer Update (14th February): She is a lovely looking filly and one who is catching the eye at home. Whilst she is bred to be a speedy horse and run over the shorter trips, she isn't’t just a pocket rocket, she has a bit of size, scope and quality about her so it will be interesting to see how she comes to hand. She could be the type who responds to the questions Richard is about to ask of her, but she might also just appreciate a little bit of time to mature and full her frame a little more. We are very excited about her as she offers a wonderful mixture of all the ingredients needed to target the big pot 2 year old sprint races, like the Super Sprint and the Redcar Listed race, as well as the decent French fillies sprinting programme at the back end of the season.
