Purchased at the Osarus Yearling sale in France, where we purchased TIGRE DU TERRE this time last year, this super filly will be trained by RICHARD FAHEY.
Here's what we describe as "a no brainier" i.e. a situation that needs very little thought that has a very high percentage chance of proving to be a success story, God willing, anyway.
This filly pretty much has it all; she has a fantastic page being a FULL SISTER to a black type performer, rated 105 and half-sister to a horse rated 92 by the stallion Carlotamix. Our filly's full sister called DU PYLA was a dual winner over 5f in the April of her 2yo career and our filly looks just as precocious/forward as her sister. Du PYLA went on the be placed four times at pattern level, finishing 2nd and 3rd in Group 3 races in the first half of her 2yo career.
Our filly is the most gorgeous filly you could wish to see, she moves fantastically and her temperament is to die for. All these factors stand her in fabulous stead for 2018. Not only that, but she appears to be and appeals as a very sharp, racy individual who ought to be running very early in 2018 in fillies' races in March, April and May. Races like the Marygate at York and the Hillary Needler at Ripon, The Queen Mary at Royal Ascot spring to mind if she were up to that standard; her pedigree certainly suggests she could be.
Our filly is bred for 5f in the early part of her career and she has the physique for this mantra to boot. We feel she was very very well bought at €22,000 and ought to be able to offer her owners many days out as a regular runner in 2018.
This filly is qualified for French owners premiums. France is well known for its lucrative system of Owners’ premiums on top of already generous prize-money. On the flat, a 2 or 3-year-old can earn an extra 64% on top of the race purse, so we would expect to be taking full advantage of this initiative.
