A very successful trip to the Osarus sale in France, sees us return with five yearlings

Fri 08 Sep 2017

At the Osarus sale at La Teste De Buche last year, we bought a Le Havre yearling colt now named TIGRE DU TERRE. He made a winning racecourse debut at Ascot, winning by 4.5 lengths and earning a 33/1 quote for the 2018 2000 Guineas. Ever since we knew we had to return to the same sale this year!

Tim worked alongside top international bloodstock agents Nicholas de Watrigant and Federico Barberini, to bring a short list down to the yearlings we really wanted to bring home, but only at the right prices. We believe we have done just that with three colts and two fillies-all eligible for the lucrative French Owners premiums.

One colt heads to KARL BURKE, he is by high class miler FRENCH FIFTEEN and the way Karl likes to take advantage of the extra owners premiums, passports need to be updated with this one! RICHARD HANNON will receive the other two colts; one by the high class 7-9f winner in America, SUNDAY BREAK and the other by the aforementioned LE HAVRE.

Richard also will train a filly by French 2,000 Guineas winner TIN HORSE- she simply had the best movement and being grey is a real eye catcher!

We also have a filly by VERTIGINEUX, who will be trained by Richard Fahey. She has a fantastic page with a 105 rated full sister.

Tim says about the sale: "It was refreshing at Osarus to be operating and purchasing in a sensible and less than frenzied market. We are particularly proud of the value for money aspect that this sale affords. However there can be little question that the sale also produces high class graduates as our very own Tigre Du Terre fully demonstrates. We very much look forward to seeing this year's Osarus yearlings on the racecourse as early as March in 2018."
