We are absolutely thrilled to have purchased this impeccably bred DANDY MAN filly for #TeamMPR and Musley Bank.

She was due to be presented at the June Tattersalls Craven Breeze Up sale, where most consignors present their quickest and best quality ammunition (Ventura Storm was purchased from the exact same sale) and we are fortunate to have been able to secure her privately prior to the sale. We are reliably informed by her Breeze Up consignor Willie Browne, of the famous Mocklershill Stables, that this filly is destined for racing festivals this season, judged on her sensational homework. We purchased our above mentioned subsequent Group 1 winning breezer, VENTURA STORM from Mocklershill, so we’ve a proven track record when hooking up with Willie. He has quite a list of pattern performers on his CV, having also consigned Ascot Gold Cup Winner Trip To Paris, Oaks winner Speciosa, Gimcrack winner Blaine and many more.

It’s fair to say that with this filly’s super quick pedigree and the regard that she’s held it at home that she would have performed a very quick breeze up time indeed. The quicker a horse breezes on the clock, the more a vendor will get paid. In any normal year, with a good breeze up time under her belt, she could easily have made between 250,000 and 400,000gns, through the ring.

Watch her breeze here:

As a stallion, Dandy Man has produced Group 1 winner PENIAPHOBIA and the Grade 1 winning RIVER BOYNE and the super quick Grade 1 winning filly, LA PELOSA. Read about him here:

A filly with a super quick pedigree and her dam has already produced a 108 rated daughter of the lesser stallion Fast Company. Given this filly’s fabulous page, which can only be enhanced by her very own, on track performances, she’s guaranteed to retain significant residual value for the paddocks once her race career is over. Ultra-successful fillies, with potential like this, can sell for millions at public auction if they’re Group 1 winners or placed: Marsha - 6 million, Tiggy Wiggy 2.1 million and Quiet Reflection - 2.1 million are two prime examples.

Very possibly, the best northern trainer of sprinters, RICHARD FAHEY, will be at the helm, so let’s hope she can follow in Richard’s previous, recent breeze up graduates, Group 1 winner SANDS OF MALI, Group 1 placed SUMMER SANDS and our very own, subsequent Group 1 winning DONJUAN TRIUMPHANT

Pedigree update: A new Grade 1 winner for Dandy Man! "River Boyne came with a strong late run to deny hot favourite Got Stormy on the line and take the Grade 1 Frank E Kilroe Mile at Santa Anita on Saturday. In the process, the Irish ex-pat became the third top-level winner for Ballyhane Stud's flagship stallion Dandy Man after La Pelosa and Peniaphobia." Read the full story here:

With Richard Fahey at the helm at Musley Bank, we very much look forward to this filly running in our silks this year!

Trainer Update (6th July): Richard is very pleased with what she is showing him at home. He will be giving her another piece of work at home this week and then take her away again next week to the turf gallops. We should then be in a position where we can start to look for a suitable race for her to make her debut. There are not a great deal of fillies races that are suitable at present, but the BHA will be putting on more in the coming days.

See a video of her cantering at home in the gallery.
