Race entries
We had to come away from Tattersalls, with this colt, at a hammer price of 37,000gns, by TIME TEST - and trained by the legendary SIR MARK PRESCOTT.
A beautiful looking colt, with a good walk, good size and scope for the future and a middle-distance pedigree being by the 10f dual Group 2 winning Juddmonte sire Time Test, whose stud fee rose from £8500 in 2021 to £15,000 in 2022, out of a New Approach mare who’s produced the winners of 5 races from her 3 runners to date.
This colt, with all the above attributes, looks set fair for a successful Heath House campaign, under the tutelage of the Arc winning maestro Sir Mark Prescott. Should he have the ability to win an Arc de Triomphe, or be a candidate for a sensible opening handicap mark and the ability to rattle up a sequence, or anything in between for that matter, he’s in the most capable of hands, rest assured!
He’s a very decent size, however he’s very strong for his age, so he could come to hand earlier that we’d anticipate and have a profitable 2yo career in 2023. He was initially purchased to peak as a 3yo next season, however, early reports from Sir Mark suggest he’s much more forward than we could have expected. He goes along easily in all his gallops and works in tandem with the more precocious of Sir Mark’s, Heath House string.
He looks the part; he’s bred to be smart and we’re excited about his prospects.
The same MPR buying team, who bought last year's juveniles did a great job, with 18 pieces of 2yo black type earned in 2022 and no doubt they have struck gold with this one too!
Training update (May 22nd): Sir Mark reports that he is catching the eye and for a Heath House 2 year old, is belying Sir Mark's usual plans! He says: "He has been straight forward. He is a nice moving horse that canters sharply and looks mature. He's a bit more forward than his pedigree suggests. He has had a clear run so far and is very good to deal with." He's cantering through and coping well at home. The plan is for him to do his first serious piece of work next week and then sir Mark will start jumping him from the stalls, in readiness for race planning. His race entries/declarations, will show on this page.
