We purchased this handsome son of Iffraaj from the Arqana Deauville Summer Sale in 2016. He has been racing in France for HH The Aga Khan and comes from the stable of French Derby winning trainer Jean-Claude Rouget.
He is clearly well regarded, having had entries in 3 French Group 1 races and won 3 times, over trips from 5.5 to 7.5 furlongs over both good and soft ground, suggesting a fairly open book of opportunities.
We feel he has a bright future with David O'Meara, whom we have very successfully placed many a 'horse-in-training' with in past seasons, including Group 1 winning G Force, the Old Newton Cup winner Tawdeea and the Carlisle Bell winner Waarif.
Syndicate manager update: A huge grey horse, which partly explains why he's a 5yo and has only raced 19 times. He could easily been open to further improvement. A winner of 2 of his last 3 races in our colours; on soft and on the AW, at distances of 8f to 11f. He could easily be next year's Waarif or Tawdeea in David O'Meara's safe hands. Previously owned by the Aga Khan, his genes suggest he could still be very well handicapped indeed.
