Purchased at the Goffs Autumn Yearling Sale, this son of Lethal Force is Plus 10 Bonus registered. By the Champion sprinter of his generation and out of a Tagula mare; a sire who is renowned for producing speedy horses, he is also of course the sire of Canford Cliffs. We think we have absolutely stolen this colt for £20,000. He was supposed to have been presented at the Goffs Premier Sale in August, which is hard to get into, but he got a minor hiccup just before and had to be withdrawn. Just before this sale, he managed to get himself cast in his box, which meant that he had one or two bumps and bruises on his limbs as he went through the ring and we are convinced that this put other potential purchasers off. We had him fully vetted and there was nothing serious, just some minor cuts to his legs, so he remained firmly on our purchase list as he went through the ring and were absolutely delighted to get him at the price we did.
He's out of a Listed mare in Raggle Taggle and we think he is a quality individual-if he'd been in the original premier sale, he would have made at least double the price we paid. He has a great athletic walk on him and a lovely attitude. From the family of Nettle who was pretty quick, Holly Blue and Gibraltar Blue were also pretty fast, we think this colt will be a 5, 6, 7f two year old and could be very classy.
Latest Trainer Update: He’s been doing swinging canters since we stepped him up into faster work and he’s taken it very well. We will look for races for him to make his debut in June.
