Purchased from GOFFS UK PREMIER YEARLING SALE, we have closely followed the career of his sire Piccolo, both as a racehorse and now as a solid winner producing stallion. When we reviewed his pedigree page, noting that he is a full brother to St Trinians, (who earned £213,000 in prize money in his career) and also to twice winning Beat Goes On, he made it on to our shortlist immediately at the sale.
Indomeneo fetched the highest figure for a progeny of Piccolo in the last 5 years; his breeders instantly asked us at the sale if they could take a share in him, which shows the high regard that he is held in. He is the nicest looking progeny that the mare has produced and it is testament to his conformation, that his breeders want to race him as part owners.
Syndicate manager update: You could almost describe Indomeneo as an MPR stalwart: He loves Ripon and Sylvestre de Sousa! When those two stars align, you know you are in business. He tries his heart out, every time, and usually earns his keep in prize money. Just about the most perfect horse to own, if regular runs and more than a fair share of wins at decent tracks is what floats your boat. He certainly knows how to win (5 times) and is thoroughly likable and talented.
